The tiling around the house started with a measured corner position for the shed. That way I end up with a nice flooring area for the shed, and a corner of the house to start a run of tiles in each direction around the house. Hopefully there will not be too many tile cuts to make, but this is inevitable.

The tiled shed area can clearly be seen raised higher than the surrounding area.

The rest of the back section was tiled as shown in the image below.

The tiling was then continued around the rest of the house.

The tools used for mixing the tile adhesive are simple. A power drill with a mixer attachment for the drill, a bucket of water, a bucket for the adhesive mixture and the gold label adhesive powder. Simply add the adhesive powder to some water in the bottom of the bucket until the mixture becomes like toothpaste. Wait 10 minutes and remix. It is now ready to spread across the cement with an 8mm, 10mm or 12mm trowel.
